Creating Corrective Actions

Learn how to create and configure corrective actions.

Creation Methods

During Inspection

Create while performing an inspection:

  1. Mark element as failed
  2. Click Add Corrective Action
  3. Fill in details
  4. Continue inspection
  5. Action saved with inspection

From Inspection Results

After inspection complete:

  1. View inspection results
  2. Find failed element
  3. Click Create Action
  4. Configure and save

From Item Details

For any item:

  1. Open item details
  2. Go to Corrective Actions tab
  3. Click Create Action
  4. Fill in details

Standalone Action

Not tied to inspection:

  1. Go to Corrective Actions
  2. Click Create Action
  3. Select related item
  4. Fill in details
  5. Save

Setting Priority

Priority Guidelines

Assigning Actions

Individual Assignment

Assign to specific user:

  1. Click Assignee field
  2. Search for user
  3. Select user
  4. User receives notification

Team Assignment

Assign to team or role:

  1. Click Assignee field
  2. Select Team tab
  3. Choose team
  4. Any team member can claim

Location-Based

Auto-assign based on location:

  1. System checks location rules
  2. Suggests default assignee
  3. Confirm or change

Self-Assignment

Assign to yourself:

  1. Click Assign to Me
  2. Immediately assigned

Setting Due Dates

Manual Due Date

  1. Click Due Date field
  2. Select date
  3. Optionally set time

Automatic Due Date

Based on priority rules:

Adding Details

Description Best Practices

Good description includes:

  • What the issue is
  • Where specifically on item
  • How it was discovered
  • Why it needs attention
  • Any attempted fixes

Example:

Fire extinguisher gauge shows pressure below acceptable range.
Located in Building A, Floor 2, near emergency exit.
Discovered during monthly inspection.
Requires professional service to recharge.
Do not use until serviced.

Categorizing Actions

Use categories to organize:

  • Safety
  • Maintenance
  • Compliance

Adding Attachments

Attach supporting files:

  1. Click Add Attachment
  2. Select file or take photo
  3. Add description (optional)
  4. Upload

Linking to Inspections

Automatic Linking

When created during inspection:

  • Automatically linked

Bulk Creation

  2. Click Create Actions for All Failures

  4. Adjust as needed

  1. Prepare CSV file
  2. Go to Corrective Actions > Import
  3. Upload file

Create actions quickly:

  1. Click Create from Template
  2. Select template
