Printing QR Codes

Learn how to generate and print QR code labels for your equipment.

Why Print QR Codes?

Physical QR code labels provide:

Printing a Single QR Code

From Item Details

  1. Open the item's details page
  2. Find the QR code section
  3. Click Print QR Code or the printer icon

Configure your label:

Generating the Label

  1. Select your options
  2. Click Generate or Preview
  3. Review the label appearance
  4. Click Print

Printing

  1. Your browser's print dialog opens
  2. Select your printer
  3. Adjust settings if needed
  4. Print

Bulk Printing

Print multiple QR codes at once:

Accessing Bulk Print

  1. Navigate to Items > QR Codes
  2. Or go to Items and select multiple items

Selecting Items

From QR Codes Page:

  1. Use filters to find items
  2. Check boxes next to items
  3. Or click Select All

From Items List:

  1. Check boxes next to items
  2. Click Bulk Actions
  3. Select Print QR Codes

Generating Bulk Labels

  1. Configure options
  2. Click Generate PDF
  3. Wait for generation (may take time for many items)
  4. PDF downloads automatically

Printing the PDF

  1. Open the downloaded PDF
  2. Print to your label printer or standard printer
  3. Use appropriate label paper

Label Sizes

12mm (Small)

Best for:

  • Small equipment
  • Limited label space
  • Tools and instruments

Contains:

  • QR code only
  • Minimal text

25mm (Medium)

Best for:

  • Standard equipment
  • General use
  • Most items

Contains:

  • QR code
  • Item name (optional)
  • Item ID (optional)

50mm (Large)

Best for:

  • Large equipment
  • Equipment viewed from distance
  • Outdoor use

Contains:

  • Large QR code
  • Full item name
  • Item ID
  • Organization logo (optional)

Label Printers

Thermal label printers work best:

Standard Printers

Inkjet or laser printers also work:

Application Steps

  1. Clean the surface
  2. Let dry completely
  3. Peel label backing
  4. Align and apply
  5. Press firmly, especially edges
  6. Allow adhesive to set

Replacing Labels

If a label is damaged:

  1. Open the item in Kuviq
  2. Print a new QR code
  3. Remove old label (if possible)
  4. Apply new label

The QR code is identical - only the physical label needs replacing.

Downloading QR Images

For custom use:

  1. Open item details
  2. Click Download QR or right-click the code
  3. Save as PNG or SVG
  4. Use in your own designs
